C-H EM I-S-T RY of Life: Thinking beyond the C & H and towards the I-S-T
When we start to see life as it is, we will know how best to
live in it. Life can be compared to a laboratory where every human being is
meant to be a chemist who can create products to make the world a better place. The good news is that you are given all the materials you need to
succeed for free in the laboratory of life.
So, my fellow chemists, come closer and pay attention to
these words I want to say. These words might be bitter but try to swallow them,
for they will serve as light to your path as you progress in life.
In the past, when there was nothing called the Internet and
all information was preserved in books, scientists had to memorize a lot of data
and facts just in case the scientific books or journals got destroyed. But you
see, times have changed, and we don’t only have the Internet but also
Artificial Intelligence, where you can get almost any fact or answer to your
questions within seconds. Though the world has changed, the formal education
system hasn’t moved a bit. Memorization of facts has now become less crucial, however,
the ability to critically evaluate information, synthesize complex ideas, and
solve problems remains essential.
We are in a period where schools should prioritize equipping
students with the ability to apply knowledge through real-world problem-solving
and hands-on projects that can be monetized. However, schools still emphasize
memorizing facts, theories, and formulas. This is why we have chemistry
students who cannot even make ordinary liquid soap, accounting students who
never run out of debt, and computer science graduates who cannot create a
simple website. When these students later graduate and try to join the workforce,
they are always shocked to discover that they lack what it takes to compete
with their peers who not only have good grades but are also innovative,
creative, problem solvers, and tech-savvy.
Pause for a minute and consider how you were able to read
this article. First, someone saw the need to make information easily accessible
to everyone and created the World Wide Web. Then, to publish content like this,
someone created a Content Management System (CMS) such as Blogger, where
writers like me can post. But to come online, you need a data subscription,
which is provided by a company. One common thread is that the lives of these
problem solvers or chemists are forever changed after they share their
solutions with the world.
You might be wondering, “How can I acquire these relevant
skills to thrive in the 21st century?” I want you to imagine a book that shows you
how to develop the skills you need to thrive in this creator economy and how to
generate lasting wealth.
Well, look no further! Compass
on Campus, a book I wrote, addresses the challenges students face during
their academic lives and as they transition into the workforce. It contains studying
techniques and hacks that make academic success a breeze, and tips on earning and
investing money while on campus, it also holds graduates by hand and makes sure
they thrive in the labour market.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to transform your campus experience and set yourself up for success. Get your copy of Compass on Campus now and take the first step towards a more organized, productive, and fulfilling student life. Your future self will thank you!
